Experience a Journey of Ukrainian Art and Soul

Ensemble Cherubim is a professional chamber choir creating immersive events that blend Ukrainian music, poetry, and visual art. Led by director Marika Kuzma, our mission is to introduce audiences to hidden treasures from Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage.

Join us for our upcoming West Coast concerts in December 2025, where we will present a revelatory program of Ukrainian carols, a beautiful and inspiring tradition largely unknown outside Ukraine’s borders.

Praised by critics as an “extremely moving and beautifully sung” experience, our concerts are a powerful and memorable presentation of centuries of Ukrainian music. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend this unique, uplifting event.

“From start to finish, this is a wonderful disc that introduces the listener to the music of a truly original voice…. With performances of this quality achieved by Marika Kuzma on this disc, the music of Bortniansky seems poised for rediscovery.”

“The emotions expressed in these works run the gamut from deepest despair and mourning to joyous celebration. In addition to the qualities of transparency, textural detail, and precise intonation, Kuzma’s performances are characterized by intensity, elasticity, and variety of tempo and dynamics. If you think an hour of unaccompanied choral music can become monotonous, think again.”
